Her parents, Alton and Elise (Murray) Coleman welcomed their daughter into the world on December 1, 1932, in Keene, NH. She grew up in Keene and was a 1950 graduate of Keene High School.
Mrs. Lounder worked as a punch machine operator with the Peerless Insurance Company, and later as a billing clerk for five years with the Keene Sentinel. Her role as secretary and later as office manager at the Monadnock Family Services in Keene brought her great joy.
She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cake decorating, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed writing and singing. Joyce had a special place in her heart for her mini poodles.
She was a longtime parishioner of St. Bernard Church in Keene.
She will be greatly missed by many, especially her son, Devin Lounder and his wife, Lisa of Winchester, NH; a granddaughter, Hannah Lounder; her nieces and nephews, Bob and Nancy Milewska, Michael Waters, Bob and Wanda Jensen; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Emily, Bobby and Joey Milewska. Her husband of 54 years, Gerald "Jerry" Lounder, predeceased her in 2014.
Services and burial in the Woodland Cemetery, Keene, will be held privately by the family.
For those who wish, donations may be made in Mrs. Lounder’s memory to the Monadnock Humane Society, 101 West Swanzey Road, Swanzey, NH 03446.
