

Linda Gaye Stevens (Wood) of Sullivan, New Hampshire passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026 at the age of 69 in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family and love after a period of declining health.
Born on August 31, 1956 in Keene NH, Linda was the daughter of the late George Bowen Wood and Barbara Gail Wood (Hayes). She grew up in Surry and Swanzey NH, and was a lifelong resident of the Keene area. She had a career in the field of healthcare, first working as an LNA, before graduating from Thompson Nursing School in Brattleboro VT. Linda worked as an LPN for 180 Court, 39 Summer St, Genesis Keene Center, and various other nursing homes in the Keene area until her retirement.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Thomas Stevens Jr.; her children, David Cormier and his wife Jennifer, Anthony Cormier and his wife Jody, Christopher Stevens, and Jarrett Stevens; her cherished grandchildren, Jordan, Alysha, Vincent and Olivia Cormier, as well as a great grandson, Hayes Guyette. Linda is also survived by her beloved brother George "Chip" Wood and his wife Nancy, as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. Linda is predeceased by her sisters, Robin Wood and Deborah Hillock (Wood), and her daughter, Rachel Stevens.
Linda had a deep love for animals, particularly her cats Clyde & Smokey, who brought her much joy and comfort throughout the years. Known for her warm heart, Linda took great pleasure in baking, with her famous fudge being a favorite treat among family and friends. Her care for others extended far beyond the kitchen, Linda was always there for family and friends to lend a helping hand or offer support to those in need.
A service to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Friday February 13th, 5 to 7pm at Fletcher Funeral Home at 33 Marlboro Street. Burial will take place in the spring at East Sullivan Cemetery.
