She was born on July 8, 1945, in Randolph, VT, and grew up in Keene, NH where she attended area schools.
On December 12, 1964, Loretta married the love of her life, Elmond G. Grover. They met at the Rhythm Ranch in Winchester, a spot they both enjoyed frequenting.
Loretta had been employed at People’s Linen and Lindy’s Diner as a waitress. Her primary devotion was caring for her family and tending to the homestead. She loved children and babysat for many local families over the years.
Spending time with family was close to Loretta’s heart – especially when it came to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was always up for an adventure with them. Loretta enjoyed camping and beach trips to Hampton and Salisbury Beach, as well as spending time at her in-law’s camp at Forest Lake in Winchester. She found pleasure in expressing herself through ceramics, drawing, and painting.
Loretta will be dearly missed by her children: Corinne Will and her husband James of Swanzey, and Robert Grover and his partner Felicia Bagster of Swanzey, NH; grandchildren: Rhyan Will of Derry, NH, Cassandra Thornton and her husband Aaron of Swanzey, NH, Kimberly Will of Swanzey, NH, Kurtis Will of Winchester, NH, Joshuah Grover of Winchester, NH, Jacob Grover and his wife Melissa of Keene, NH, Alaina Rand and her husband Jake of Charlestown, NH, and Benjamin Grover of Charlestown, NH; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Elmond Grover in 2004, sister Thelma Lake, and a great-grandchild.
In keeping with Loretta’s wishes, a private burial will be held in the family plot at Westport Cemetery in the spring.
