Mary Ellen Trickey Waldron

She was born on December 30, 1921, in Ft. Worth, TX, to Charles T. & Mary O. (Roberts) Trickey. She was a graduate of Dallas High School and Texas Women’s University in Denton, TX.

She married Norman R. Waldron, on January 27, 1943, in a ceremony in Denton; shortly after the couple moved to Norwalk, CT. The family lived there for 42 years, and while there, Mrs. Waldron taught for many years as a Nursery School teacher and worked part time in the office of Dr. Joseph F. Andrews, Jr.

In 1986 she retired and the family moved to Keene.

In Keene Mrs. Waldron was previously active with the Keene Lions Club as well as the Old Homestead Garden Club. She was known for her ever present smile and wonderful sense of humor, as well as a unwavering willingness to offer support and help to others. Her friends and family will treasure the impact she had on their lives as well as the memories of their interactions with this wonderful and caring woman.

She is survived by her daughters: Marcy L. Buckman and her husband John of Alstead, NH and Jamsie Hurt and her husband Michael of Jacksonville, IL; a sister: Peggy Northcutt of Dallas, TX; four grandchildren: Andy Buckman of Pittsfield, NH, Kate Buckman and her partner Dan Northcott of Walpole, NH, Matthew Hurt and his wife Toni of Jacksonville, IL and Kyla Hurt and her partner Wes Kitner of Jacksonville, IL; two great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, of 62 years, Norman R. Waldron and 3 brothers: Jerry Trickey, Mack Roberts Trickey and Charles Trickey and her adopted sister Bea Trickey.

There will be a gathering, celebrating the life of Mrs. Mary Ellen “Lynn” Waldron, at the Woodward Home, 194-202 Court St, Keene on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm. The family welcomes Lynn’s friends and others to attend. Burial will be private at a later date.
