Michael Harrison Dawson

His parents, Freddie D. and Sharon (Wozneak) Dawson welcomed their son into the world on May 13, 1958 in Manhattan, Kansas. He resided in Bangor, Maine for many years before moving to the area 35 years ago.

Michael served in the United States Army. He later worked for many years as a dry-waller with Blanchard and Sons in Keene.

When not hard at work, Michael enjoyed being out in nature taking walks or being out on the area lakes, fishing. He created wonderful memories spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Naomi. His Bernice Mountain dog and Rottweiler mix, Rizzo, found a special place in his heart.

He is survived by his daughter, Naomi Dawson and her fiancé, Nick Ferris, of Dover, NH; his son, Michael Dawson and his partner, Kristi Brown, of Lewiston, ME; his grandchildren, Mikayla Dawson, Chelsea Ochtera; Kaleb Cyr; his mother, Sharon Langan, of Brewer, ME; a brother, Daryl Dawson of Brewer, ME; a sister, Julie Hock, of Mahomet, IL; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. His wife of 35 years, Kim M. (Sherrick) Dawson, died on June 3, 2022. A brother, Paul Dawson, predeceased him.

A celebration of Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the Italian Club, 97 Wood Street, Keene. All are welcome to attend.
