
Nancy was born in Concord, NH, on May 23, 1934, and received her Bachelor’s of Education from Keene Teacher’s College and her Master’s of Education from Antioch. She married Raymond Richard on June 22, 1957.
A former math teacher, Nancy was the Assistant Director of the New Hampshire School Readiness project and later went on to become a member of the lecture staff for The Gesell Institute and a national educational consultant in child development. Nancy authored the books One Piece of the Puzzle (co-authored with Barbara Carll), Once Upon a Rainbow, and was a member of a local writer’s group. She also led a weekly spiritual discussion group for many years.
An exceptional parent, an extraordinary friend, and a source of unconditional love, Nancy had a positive influence on all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Ray of fifty-five years; her children and their spouses: Jennifer Richard & Don O’Grady, Kent & Donna Richard, Tad & Debra Richard; and four grandchildren: Holly & Erik Jacobson, and Kelly & Sara Richard; her brothers and spouses: David and Elaine Angwin, Timothy and Deidre Angwin; brother-in-law and his spouse: Michael and Sandra Richard; brother-in-law Robert Richard, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at Stonewall Farm in Keene Sunday morning, November 4th at 11:30. All welcome.
