She was born in Keene, NH, September 5, 1944, the daughter of Charles and Blanche (Buffum) Town.
Mrs. Nelson resided in Marlborough, NH for several years before moving to Winchester thirty years ago. She worked for several years with Plumb Pak Corporation in Winchester. Mrs. Nelson enjoyed crocheting and camping. She had a special love for her dog and bird.
She is survived by her children, Lisa Richmond and her husband, Brian, of Abilene, Texas, George E. Nelson, Jr. of Athol, MA, Chris Nelson of Winchester; eight grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy Lagerberg of Fitzwilliam, NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George E. Nelson, Sr. on May 29, 2010; two sisters, Carolyn Besaw and Dolly Kirker; and a brother, Charles Town.
A graveside service and burial in the Evergreen Cemetery, Winchester, NH, will be held in the spring.
The Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
