The family matriarch, Pauline J. Descoteaux 96, of Keene, NH, died peacefully on May 15, 2025. She was surrounded by family at home where she lived lovingly with her granddaughter and family, Cassie, Ben and Shailer Herrick.
Pauline was born in Keene, NH on February 22, 1929, the daughter of Pearl (Hussey) and Mardis Beam. She was one of ten children, eight sisters and one brother, who all predeceased her.
Pauline loved being a homemaker, most people say her home was straight out of Better Homes and Garden Magazine. She loved shopping with her daughter Debbie and decorating her home for all the holidays. She loved spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Paddock and his significant other Goria Gablinske, David Paddock and his wife Sandy, Mark Paddock and his wife Elaine; her daughter Debbie Descoteaux Fisher and her husband Frank; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren as well as some nieces and nephews. Her husband and love of her life for 39 years, James E. Descoteaux, and her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Descoteaux predeceased her.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 1:00pm in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene, NH. A celebration of Pauline’s life will follow the graveside service at the Whitcomb Hall, 17 Main Street, West Swanzey, NH. All are welcome to attend both services.
