
She was born in Westmoreland, NH, July 09, 1920, the daughter of George W. and Edna M. (Stevenson) Stratton. She grew up in Spofford, NH attending schools there. She moved to Keene at the age of sixteen.
Her lifelong occupation was caring for children, providing daycare, and raising her own daughter a well as two foster children who remained in her life until now.
Survivors include a daughter Diane J. Hull and her husband, Richard, of Fitzwilliam, NH, her foster daughters; Marcia Nicoll and her husband, Robert, of Fitchburg, Mass., Vanessa Hayward and her husband, Ken, of Candia, NH, five grandchildren; Kimberley Parrott and her husband, Michael, Jonathan Channell and his wife Cheryl, Traci Jarvis, Penny Martin and her husband, Gordon, Carrie Dubberley and her husband, Joe, 12 great-grandchildren; Sarah Curtis and Joshua Curtis whom she raised for the past ten years, Hannah Miettinen, Rachel Hough, Jennifer Wyman, Nicole Smith, Michael Parrott, Christopher Channell, Allyssia Dubberley, Hailey Dubberley, Jessica Dubberley, Benjamin Martin, nine great-grandchildren; Harley Smith, Samara Smith, Jaxon Smith, Hunter Hough, Mason Hough, Makayla Wyman, Austin Wyman, Justin Channell, Andrew Channell, a sister Shirley M. Scryba of Greenfield, Mass., and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her extended “grandchildren” whom she cared for over the years that still called her “Grandma L”. Her husband of 67 years, Paul R. Lamoureux, whom she married on April 9, 1939, died June 28, 2006. She was also predeceased by a brother, Carl Stratton and four sisters, Beatrice Britton, Marion Riendeau, Theresa Moody and Eleanor Weir.
Funeral services and burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Hinsdale, NH, will be private.
