

He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, January 11, 1939, the son of Ruth (Johnson) and C. Everett Johnson, Sr.
Mr. Johnson was an Air Force veteran serving in the Army National Guard from January, 1956 until January, 1958, transferring to active duty with the Air Force, serving from January 1958 until his discharge in January of 1962.
He received an associate degree in business management from Franklin Pierce University.
For thirty-five years, Mr. Johnson owned Johnson Real Estate in Keene. He later worked in healthcare, and was a phlebotomist at the former Beach Hill Hospital in Dublin, NH and at the Brattleboro (VT) Retreat. He retired in 2002.
He was a longtime member of the New Hampshire Realtor’s Association, serving as president in 1979. He was also a member of the Gordon Bissell America Legion Post #4 in Keene, and a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 927 and the Jerusalem Lodge #104 Masonic Order in Keene. He was also a member of St. James Episcopal Church in Keene.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Ruth E. Johnson of Keene, whom he married on April 26, 1980, four sons, Ralph E. Johnson, Jr and his wife, Teah, of St. Petersburg, FL, Eric E. Johnson of Vineland, Kentucky, Charles O. Johnson of Keene, David R. Johnson of Keene, eight grandchildren, his brother, C. Everett Johnson, Jr and his wife, Barbara, of Concord, NH, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held Saturday, January 21, 2012 at 11:00 in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave, Keene. There will be no public calling hours.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
The Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, is assisting the family with the arrangements.
