

Robert P. "Bob" Methe 91, of Troy, NH and formerly of Fitzwilliam, NH, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on February 3, 2025, with his wife and family by his side following a period of declining health.
Robert was born in Troy, NH on July 20, 1933, to Napoleon and Elviria (Ferriera) Methe. Bob was educated in the Troy and Fitzwilliam schools.
He enlisted in the Marine Corp where he served during the Korean War in the DMZ.
After his service in the Marines, Robert drove truck for Law Motor Freight, then later working numerous years for his brother at Nicks Cars in Fitzwilliam.
He was an avid Harley motorcycle rider since the age of 16. He loved riding and used his mechanical skills both with cars and motorcycles. Bob and his wife, Patricia, spent many of their 36 years together, going to Lake George, NY to the Americade every summer with family and friends.
He was a member of the Winchester VFW Post #3968, the Fitzwilliam American Legion Post #38, and a former member of the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association.
He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his wife and family.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia A. "Patty" Methe, of Troy; his children, Jeannine (Scott) Self of West Swanzey, NH, Mark (Pam) Methe of Fitzwilliam, NH, Kimberly (Eric) McGuire of Dover, NH, Kelene Cloutier of Jaffrey, NH; grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, Wade, Brittany, Reagan, Jake; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Jean Wilson, of Florida; his brothers, Edward Methe of Fitzwilliam, Randolf Methe of Gordon, GA, Michael (Barbara) Methe of Florida; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. His parents, a brother Donald Methe, a sister Nancy Gordon, Anthony Casey, and a granddaughter, Kasie Cloutier, predeceased him.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00am at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH, followed by a prayer service and military honors at the funeral home at 11:00am.
