

Rocky Joseph Goodwin, 75, a life-long resident of the Mondnock Region, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 20, 2014, at the Westwood Care and Rehabilitation Center in Keene, following a period of declining health.
He was born September 22, 1938 in Keene, NH the son of Eno and Jewel (Melason) Goodwin, Sr. He proudly served our Nation as a member of the United States Air Force.
Mr. Goodwin was a very hard working man who was very devoted to his trade. As a painter he was able to use the world of color as an expression and was able to create beautiful results for those he did work for. He enjoyed his daily breakfasts at his favorite diner in Keene, Timoleon’s. The Yankees were his favorite baseball team. He also loved classic cars and would take advantage of any opportunity to stop and look at the vehicles when he was able. He also enjoyed listening to country music, especially Hank Williams.
He is survived by his daughter: Athena Goodwin of Keene, NH, three step-children: Nadine Rich of Keene, NH, Frank Luksevish and his wife Amy of Keene, NH and Joe Luksevish and his companion Melissa of Burlington, VT, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is predeceased by three brothers: Eno “Sonny” Goodwin Jr., Pete Goodwin and Joel Goodwin.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014, in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Ave, Keene, at 10:00am. Family and friends are invited to call on the family from 6 to 8pm on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Monadnock Humane Society 101 West Swanzey Rd., West Swanzey, NH. 03446, to honor his deep love of animals.
