

Ron was born on February 10, 1946, to the late John and Stacia (Kacavich) in Worcester, MA. Later relocating to Guilford, VT. Graduating Brattleboro Union High School.
On April 9, 1968, he exchanged vows with Helen C. VanNess. They were faithfully married until her passing in 2016. They traveled the world together and became an impetus team.
Ron enlisted in the Navy in 1964 as an Aircraft Mechanic. Ron would rise through the ranks to earn a final rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer, a very proud achievement. During his Navy career Ron received a letter of commendation from President Gerald R. Ford for inventing a tool that reduced aircraft maintenance costs. Ron retired after 20 years of service to our country as a Navy recruiter earning his 5th Good Conduct Medal.
Following his military service, Ron became a manager at Grossman's in Keene. Years later started two businesses, Ron's Lawn Care and Wood Accents in Marlborough. Ron was always willing to teach someone a new skill and help them find their way. Always looking out for those with disabilities or those in need of a helping hand.
Following his second retirement, Ron became a bailiff at Keene District Court and Cheshire Superior Court until Helen's care became exigent.
Beyond his hard work ethics and military career, he will be well remembered for his bountiful gardens, love of dogs, fishing, hunting, music, storytelling and jokes. Yes, even bad dad jokes.
He was a proud dad of his two sons, Ronald J. Dusavitch, Jr. of Silver Lake, NH and William J. Dusavitch of Concord, NH; two granddaughters, Emma Dusavitch and Lauren Dusavitch, both of Concord. Ron was predeceased by his parents, John and Stacia, and his wife Helen.
Services will take place at the New Hampshire State Veteran's Cemetery, 110 Daniel
Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH 03303, privately by the family at a later date.
