In 1961 he graduated from Vilas High School and then went on to proudly serve our Nation as a member of the United States Coast Guard. When he returned to the Monadnock Region after his time in the service, he worked in his family’s business: Marlow Supply. Ronald enjoyed working in the community, especially the time he spent working for the Fall Mountain Schools. He was also a member of the American Legion in Brattleboro, Vermont. He enjoyed working on projects around his home and was quite the “handy-man”. Some of his favorite ways to spend his time were by going shopping and dancing with his companion Carol, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two daughters: Deborah Berntsen and her husband Kenneth of Sagle, Idaho and Judith Bath and her husband Gregory of Alstead, NH. He has five grandchildren: Michael Berntsen, Jennifer Bath, Jayna Bath, Amanda Berntsen, Molly Berntsen, and one great-granddaughter: Katheryn Bath.
