

He was born on February 12, 1940, the son of Albert and Ruby (Brown) Reed. He grew up in the area and was a 1959 graduate of Marlborough High School.
During, and after high school, Mr. Reed worked on the Oliver Farm in Marlborough. He then went to work at the Public Service Sub Station here in Keene. From there, he worked as a driver for Elm City Oil for many years. He also worked for Bergevin Truck. Mr. Reed then worked for the Town of Gilsum as the Road Agent until his retirement. Even after retirement, he kept busy by working for Pathway Books.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Fish and Game Club in Sullivan. In addition, Mr. Reed was an accomplished carpenter and enjoyed woodworking.
Mr. Reed is survived by his son Ronald Reed, and wife Laura, of Fitzwilliam; his daughters Kim Coppo, and husband Jay, of Troy and Rebecca Reed of Marlow; grandchildren Ronald Reed, Jr., Renae Rice and Pamela Coppo; great grandchildren Justin Rice, Jackson Pratt and Emily Reed; brothers Richard Willey of Lempster and Morris Willey of Winchester; sisters Judy White, and husband Larry, of Winchester, Mary Blanchard, and husband Leonard, of Roxbury, Barbara Fish, and husband Douglas, of Keene; several nieces and nephews. His wife Maureen (Tarr) Pamela Reed died earlier.
Services for Mr. Reed will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, 3:00 PM at Fletcher Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 33 Marlboro St., Keene, NH.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in Mr. Ronald Reed’s name to the Fitzwilliam Ambulance Service, PO Box 725, Fitzwilliam, NH 03447.
