

She was born in Belleville, NJ on December 25, 1927 the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth (Keaney) Narucki.
She grew up and attended schools in New Jersey and was a graduate of the Belleville High School.
She has been a resident of Keene since 1947 having moved here from New Jersey. She married the love of her life, William F. Carbone at St. Peter’s Church in Belleville, NJ on December 7, 1946. Before she raised her family, she was employed by the former Central Screw Company in Keene.
Rose was very active in the community and was a long time volunteer at the Cheshire Medical Center, a Red Cross Blood Drive volunteer, and was a past co-president of the Monadnock Squares. She was a member of the Parish of the Holy Spirit and was a former member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne Society. She was so proud when she acquired her first driver’s license at age 65.
She loved reading, doing crossword and jig-saw puzzles, gardening and feeding birds and had an interest in Civil War history. She also enjoyed crafting and stamping handmade cards. She was big sports fan and followed the Boston Bruins, the New England Patriots, and the Boston Red Sox. She was an enthusiastic Swamp Bats fan for many years. The most important things in her life were taking care of her family and friends.
She is survived by three sons; Bruce W. Carbone and his partner Penni Giles of Swanzey, NH, Wayne S. Carbone of Pawcatuck, CT, Scott A. Carbone and his wife Alana of Keene, NH; three brothers; Charles Narucki of Marietta, GA, Edward Keaney of Freehold, NJ and John Keaney of New Egypt, NJ; four sisters; Claire Dickerson of Belleville, NJ, Mary Holden of Staten Island, NY, Margaret Bindas of Freehold, NJ, and Sally McDonald of Toms River, NJ; three grandchildren; Cynthia Carbone of Topeka, KS, Sarah Carbone of Agawam, MA and Tyler Carbone of Keene, NH and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband William F. Carbone, Sr. who died in 1992, a son William F. Carbone, Jr. who died in 1950 and her daughter-in-law Carole B. Fox-Carbone who died in 2013.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Church, 185 Main Street, Keene, NH on Saturday morning, October 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street Keene. Family and friends are invited to call at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, on Friday evening October 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (www.foleyfuneralhome.com ).
The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Volunteer Services Department at The Cheshire Medical Center, 580 Court Street, Keene, NH 03431 to the attention of Sandie Phipps.
