

She was born in Chatham, Mass., November 24, 1950, the daughter of Marie M. (Cantwell) and William T. Ohman, Jr. She grew up in Chatham, graduating from Chatham High School.
She received a degree in nursing from the Southern Vermont College in Bennington, VT, and attended Keene State College, and Antioch University in Keene, where she received a certification in Community Health and Management.
Her legacy is Hospice, educating the medical profession and the public about Hospice and of allowing people to have a peaceful death at home. Mrs. Herrmann was the Director of Hospice at Home Healthcare Hospice and Community Services in Keene for 18 years. She received certifications from the National Hospice and Palliative Care as a certified Hospice and Palliative Care Registered Nurse and also in National Hospice and Palliative Care Leadership and Management. She was a member of the Executive Board of Directors with the State Hospice and Palliative Care.
She loved nature, bird watching and wildlife. She was known fondly by her son as the “Marlin Perkins” of Westmoreland. She enjoyed floral gardening and she was very proud of her beautiful window boxes she created, and of her writings. She had a special love for her dogs and cats. She enjoyed collecting crystals and Tibetan Bowls.
Her life centered around her caring for the many families she met. However, her greatest devotion was to her family.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ralph S. Herrmann of Westmoreland; two children, Katy Curtiss-Robinson and her wife, Krystie Curtiss-Robinson of Newfane, VT, Peter Keller and his wife, Kristen Keller, of Cotuit, Cape Cod; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Mia Keller; her mother, Marie M. DelColle of Keene; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, William T. Ohman, III in 2007 and her step-father, George P. DelColle in 1996.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. Words of remembrance will be offered at 5:00 PM by Ilona Kwiecien, Hospice Chaplain. Burial will be private.
