

She was born in Keene on March 21, 1928, the daughter of Joseph and Elvira (Jolly) Gagne. She has lived in Swanzey most of her life.
She is the widow of Richard (Dick) Wood who died in 1999 and served the town of Swanzey for many years as the sexton of the town cemeteries and is predeceased by her son Richard A. Wood who died last September.
Mrs. Wood was a former member of the Girl’s Drum Corp in Keene, and was well known for her baking skills. She was extremely well talented at making wedding, anniversary and birthday cakes. She was very active with her family and was truly the matriarch of the Wood clan.
She is survived by her two sons Donald B. Wood and his wife Brenda of Winchester and William A. Wood and his wife Sarah of Swanzey; her sister Jeannette Miller and her husband Richard of Keene; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
There are no public calling hours or services at this point in time. Burial will take place at the family lot in the Oak Hill Cemetery in West Swanzey later in the Spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mrs. Theresa M. Wood’s name to the Applewood Care and Rehabilitation Center Activity Fund, 8 Snow Road, Winchester, NH 03470.
