Her parents, Susan (Fisher) Sprague and Elmer Crosby, proudly welcomed their daughter into the world on July 12, 1928 in Keene, NH.
On July 20, 1946, Virginia married the love of her life, Oscar Lamoureux. He passed away on July 5, 2006, just 15 days shy of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Although small in stature, Virginia had a huge heart, and was a friend to many. She was very proud of her role as wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
Virginia will be greatly missed by many, especially her children, Madlyn Tilley and Alfred Lamoureux, both of Charlotte, NC, Kathleen Manso and her husband, Ken, and Sharon Roussell and her husband, Norman, all of Keene; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren and one due in May; and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Virginia was predeceased by a son, Joseph Lamoureux in 1997; a daughter, Jean Millwood in 2000; 2 grandsons, Brandon Richardson in 1999 and Douglas Bruno in 1993; a brother, Joseph Labounty; and 3 sisters, Lena Lagerberg, Evelyn Pembroke and Mildred Croteau.
A graveside committal service will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 1:00PM in the Monadnock View Cemetery, Park Avenue, Keene. Family and friends are invited to call at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, on Tuesday from 10:30AM – 12:30PM, with a time for sharing of special memories at 12:00PM.
