Born on October 10, 1986, in Brandon, Florida, Ben was the beloved son of John and Sherri Standridge. He attended Northwest High School, and following graduation, made the honorable decision to enlist in the United States Marine Corps.
During his four years of service, Ben displayed unwavering commitment, discipline, and resilience. He trained to become a Scout Sniper—a role demanding both elite skill and immense courage. He went on to serve in Ramadi, Iraq, with the 1st Battalion, 9th Marines, proudly upholding the core values of the Marine Corps: honor, courage, and commitment.
Following his military service, Ben pursued higher education and later partnered with his father in owning, and operating, a Jimmy John’s franchise. His strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit were evident in everything he did.
In his free time, Ben embraced the simple joys of life—fishing, hunting, and cheering on his favorite baseball teams. More than anything, he cherished the deep connections he held with his family, friends, and Marine brothers. He remained steadfast in nurturing those relationships, always showing up with loyalty, laughter, and love.
Ben is survived by his mother, Sherri Standridge, and five siblings: Brandon, Leslie, Christopher, Chloe, and Heather. He also leaves behind six beloved nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry his spirit forward. He was preceded in death by his father, John Standridge.
