Bobby – 

Your Dad and I want to tell you how proud you have made us as your parents. You made a fine man. As we read the comments that your family and friends wrote about you, we see a person that moved with compassion and a true concern for people. You are a man with integrity. You always had great respect for us and people over you. 

Your dad was remembering about the vacation to North Carolina and how you, being a Texan, decided to rope a pig but the pig won and it pulled you into the pig lot. You made us laugh at things you did. 

We are proud of your accomplishments, your wisdom and the council you gave to help others. We love you Bobby! We will see you on the other side as you and all our family will be there to meet us.

Memories of Times with My Brother, Bobby

Here is where I will begin…

When we were young, we lived in rural North Carolina where the only children we had to play with were each other. I remember us playing on the swing set, climbing trees, going fishing and watching cartoons together on Saturday mornings. One thing that is quite vivid in my mind was that go cart that you loved to ride. I would ride it with you. An interesting thing about that go cart was that IT DIDN’T HAVE ANY BRAKES! I would ride on the back by the engine. When you were tired of riding, I would pull the wire from off of the spark plug to shut the engine down. You would head for one of the trees, which served as our brakes!   When we hit the tree, you knew (and I did, too!) that it hurt. Yet, you would try to laugh it off!

We moved to Florida and during the summer, we would go swimming after breakfast. We would come in for lunch and then go swimming again until dinner time. You went from being a blonde – headed kid to looking like a “green – haired munchkin!” 

These are a couple of the special memories of our child – hood days that I will always cherish.

When I became a teen – ager, I recall when mom and dad allowed me to have my first boyfriend. When he came to the house, he could only stay for one hour. We would be in the living room and I remember how you would come in, doing roll – overs on the floor and stop RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE COUCH! You proceeded to ask my boyfriend “a million” questions! When I asked you to “go play”, you refused and stayed for THE WHOLE HOUR! Needless to say, I was a “pissed – off” sister! You would just shrug your shoulders and say, “I have to be sure I like him!”

When you became a teen – ager, you started hanging out with your friends. You also started showing an interest in girls. I was in college at the time, so we didn’t see much of each other then, except for when we went to Texas Rangers baseball games with George.                        (next..........)

We were, however, there for each other when we needed each other. For instance, there was the time that you showed up at my apartment late one night and asked me if you could spend the night. I let you and I just assumed that mom and dad knew where you were. Ha, ha; my surprise when mom and dad showed up at 3 A.M. looking for you because they had no idea of where you were. And, interesting enough, I was the one who got in trouble because, in the process of looking for you, they found out that I had a boyfriend. All you did on the way out was smile and say, “Thanks!”  Once again, these are memories that will be cherished. 

As adults, you took the first step where marriage was concerned. You also worked hard at being a success in the IT industry. I then married and had three beautiful children, of whom you became as a “second father.” While I was at Georgetown, you moved back in to help Rick with the children. It was at this time that you and Rick became brothers.

When we moved to Keller, you were able to have your own room. You put holes in the walls (which are STILL THERE!) so that you could run cable to your television. You also started hanging out at Judge Beans Restaurant and introduced Rick and me to the people you knew there.

You “graduated” to the purchase of your own home and yes, finally your, M3 BMW, WHICH WE ALL HEARD ABOUT FOR YEARS!  You made many friends throughout the years because of your kind and accepting heart. You also became one who enjoyed life and loved people. You always made others feel welcomed and once someone earned your friendship, they were a friend for life. 

Your friends have shared times with you that I’m sure that they will remember and cherish as well.

And now for the present…

 Again, you, my brother, are the one to take the first step into the next stage of life. And even though you have left this physical world, the remembrance of your presence will remain everyday – unseen and unheard, yet always near; loved and missed, yet very dear.

February 15 will be a day that will encourage me to always cherish and express love to those who are closest to me. I will do this so that I will make good memories of those who are dear to me; for we know not when we will take the next step. I love You!

I miss your laugh and your ridiculous jokes that would always be said at the worst time, but it only made them even better. I’ll always remember our daily phone calls at 5pm just to ensure we were both stuck in traffic. You were the kind of person who never knew a stranger and you always knew how to make everyone have a blast.
 I know you were special to all of us, but you were a big part of who I am today. There are so many memories of us that make me laugh, but I will never forget the day you abandoned me at Target because I fell down in front of everyone. 

I’ve caught myself grabbing my phone to call you only to remember that I can’t anymore. I really miss you and I know that I will see you again in Heaven.

Oh Uncle Bobby, I have no clue where to begin. You’ve always been there for me since the day I was born. It feels so unnatural to not have you here anymore with us. To make us laugh no matter the mood anyone was in. To be the rock that everyone needs
Over my years on this earth, you have thought me so many valuable things and lessons. For example, always try to be happy, even life is getting tough; or teaching me how to build my own pc; or that American cars are trash and that BMW is the only car!!! 
It’s going to be hard adjusting to not having you in my life or a phone call away. You were like a 2nd father to me. But if God thinks that it’s your time to join him, then so shall be it, I love you and miss you

Uncle Bobby, 
I have written this letter several times, rewritten it and rewritten. Describing how I feel, describing our friendship has been one of the hardest things to do, because your gone. 
You weren't just my uncle, you were my person, my family, my best friend and a second father. I remember you being there for my siblings and me when mom and dad were gone. I remember you buying a crappy sidekick car to teach me to drive .
I remember when I was struggling in college,heart broken over a break up and you were there to help me pick up the pieces. You let me move in to your new house with you, were we lived like two bachelor's. We tried to open a wine bottle with a knife sharpener and busted the bottle all over your new ceiling, we tried to hook up the washer and didnt know that there was a water hose til it was all over your floor. 
You supported me to follow my dream and to become a police officer when everyone was against it , I'll remember our On the Border dates and I'll miss our weekly phone calls. I miss you more than you can know. I love you Uncle Bobby, thank you for being there for me when I felt lost. 



I don't quite know how to sum up almost 10 years of knowing Bobby. You started out as John's friend but you quickly became my friend too. We've shared so many great times and you were an excellent travel buddy, as long as you weren't wearing new shoes. 😘 You will always be a part of our lives and we will take you on all of our future travels. 

I have only known Bobby for a little less than two years but he will forever have a lasting impact on my life.  Every time I saw him, I had to get one of his famous hugs. I always told him he was the best hugger and I don’t think there will ever be anyone who could match those wonderful hugs;  they always made any sadness or bad mood dissipate.  I will miss our lunch dates and hanging out on his back porch and talking.   I will miss his calling me his bar wife.   Bobby had the biggest heart and was loved by everyone who knew him.  I love you Bobby and can’t wait to see you again!

February 15 my life changed....a piece of my heart went to heaven. My only nephew went to be with our Lord and Saviour. What's worse.. the shock or the pain of what will not be? Anyone lucky enough to know Frankie (Bobby) would describe him as happy, funny, kind, thoughtful man that loved life with a twinkle in his eye. Always rushing to the next adventure in life and I always wonder why you were in such a hurry but now I appreciate the hurried pace.  Frankie was loved and treasured by anyone fortunate to have him in their life because he left an indelible mark on your soul.

So many wonderful memories of you growing up in N.C. Fishing with Grandpa Cagle and Nathan, riding my pony Frisky, the mini bike you had to have and when you got it home discovering it didn't have breaks! You asked Grandpa what to do..he said.. stop it with your feet. You wore out countless shoes with that thing but never slowed down. I just got out of the way.  You asking grandma to cook a million homemade fries, biscuits and gravy.  After moving away you joked about the boring place you came from but I always loved seeing you walk up the path from grandma's house to mine for a visit.

This world is a little darker without you here... I can't believe you're not a phone call away but I believe you would say...enjoy life and know I'm home with my grandparents and family in heaven!  It's never goodbye...its until I see you again

Where to even begin. Bobby, when I met you 15 years ago, I would have never guessed the impact you would have on my life. I spent almost every day with you for years and years. We always had a blast, and we have so many inside jokes and stories, I could literally write about you all day. You were one of my best friends and truly had one of the kindest hearts. Anytime I was having a bad day, you were always the one to make it better. One of your favorite stories that you loved to tell everyone was how you let me borrow your H3 for a family emergency where I drove a few hours out of town. When I was driving home I told you what an awful choice a hummer was for a vehicle, and I had spent 300 bucks on gas. You laughed and said that’s crazy, you don’t have it in 4 wheel drive do you. I told you I wasn’t sure how to tell lol, and of course you confirmed that I was an idiot when I got home. Sorry again 😘 I still can’t accept that you’re gone. I keep waiting on you to walk in at any moment. I miss you so so much and my heart is broken. Thank you for being that constant in my life that always taught me to stop being so uptight and just have fun. One of the last nights we went out we did an awesome karaoke duo of pretty fly for a white guy, and man did we kill it. I will cherish that night forever. You will forever hold a place in my heart. Love you Barbara, Franklin, Bobby Boo and some nicknames we will save as memories only haha ❤️

I have so many memories growing up with Bobby.  We met in a class in high school and instantly became friends, we would make plans weekly on who’s house we would spend the night at.  His family took me in and treated me as one of their own, Bob and Sandra are like my second set of parents.  Bobby and I would talk about video games, cars, girls, but not necessarily in that order.   Since I was 3 months older I obtained my drivers license first and we were off and cruising together.  
I remember a time when he received his license and his parents would let him drive their car, it seemed to me that the engine lights and gauges were not important to him as he ran the car out of oil and seized the engine.   Since that car no longer worked his parents got him a station wagon to drive. Yeah, I found that funny, Bobby felt that he was being punished, I looked at it as he was lucky his parents would get him another car to drive, and I explained to him if you were truly being punished you would be riding a bicycle.   He drove that station wagon on dates with his future wife, he would ask me to double date, but being shy and introverted I would never talk to girls as still to this day they still scare me to death.  Bobby would always try to include me even if he had to find me a date, so we did go out, we went to the planetarium and to dinner in the station wagon.
A year or so later I was asked to be the best man in his wedding, I remember him pacing back in forth in the room we were provided in the church. I would ask if he was ok, he was nervous, not nervous about getting married just an anxious nervous to get it going and be over with.  We made it through the wedding and I was always their 3rd wheel when we would go out and do things together.  A few years went by and learned from him they were having troubles as most marriages do, they had decided to separate and would eventually divorce.  This opened the next chapter in our friendship when we became roommates.  


Rewind the clock to June of 2013 and me sending a random text message to a friend from New York after having a really bad week.  

“I’m in Dallas at “Beefs” (better known as Johnny to all you Texans) for palooza,” was the response... “Wait, Palooza?  I wasn’t invited to that this year!!” 

3 hours and almost a thousand dollars later I was on an airplane to crash a pool party at an old friends house that I probably hadn’t seen in over 5 years... it was worth every penny to be able to say today that I can call you my friend.

I can probably count the amount of days and possibly even hours I’ve spent in your company, but each time it felt as if I’d known you for a lifetime longer and as if we hadn’t spent any time apart.

Endless nights of laughter, of rocking out til the sun came up... literally.  A two hour trip to get everyone breakfast that ended up being lunch.  Teaching you guys ‘up the river, down the river.’ My attempts at playing frisbee golf.  Sooo many hours spent sitting outside just talking.  And Beans... the hours at Beans of bacon & Pearl Jam nascar, and who knows what else.  Every time I left you, my stomach hurt from laughing so much and I usually had no voice left, yet my heart had grown so much.

Well today a piece of my heart leaves with you.  You’re a beautiful person inside and out and I will cherish the memories I have with you for the rest of my days.  You were one in a million Bobby!  Probably the coolest dude that actually is a dude if I had to say so myself and coming from me, that means a lot (just ask Lloyd).. I love you... until we meet again.


I met Bobby in March 2010 and he has been a constant part of my life since. Through the years we have been neighbors, carpool buddies, gamers, but most importantly always friends. From the countless game nights to the time he rushed over to “save” me from a “ghost” in my attic, he could always put a smile on my face. I still haven’t wrapped my head around how big a hole in so many lives he has left. I miss you Bobby....so very much.

Bobby, my best friend and brother. People would refer to us as the Lloyd and Bobby show from all our silly shenanigans. Whenever one of us would show up somewhere without the other, people would ask "where's your twin" or "where's your other half"? From playing video game golf or real golf, to just playing chess, there's so much about him that I'm going to miss. We met playing poker at Judge Beans 15 years ago and I loved playing at his table but also hated it because he was one of the few people I could never read and he usually took my chips. I will miss all his little Bobbyisms that will continue on long past many of us I'm sure. Until I see you again brother, save a shot for me. Miss and love you Bobby. 

On February 15, 2019 my life was changed forever.  It's very hard to put into words how much you meant to me.  You were more than a friend, you were a brother.  So much of mine and Ashley's lives revolved around you and the memories will be there forever.  I can feel your hugs telling us that it's okay followed by some poorly delivered joke.  We are going to continue with all of those fun plans we made together and you're coming with us in our hearts and minds (and without flip-flops!).
Thanks for being a beautiful person and for sharing part of your life with us.  You will always be loved and missed my brother!

Bobby and Cookie, So sorry for your loss!  This makes me feel so Sad ——-wish I had met him!

Thinking about all our Cagle parents and cousins  that have already left us, makes one realize   how fast time goes and we need to slow down and enjoy love ones while they are still with us.......Love those “Precious Memories”❣️

I met Bobby when I was 19. A decade has gone by so fast. He has seen me go through good times, and he has helped me through the lowest of times. Any time I needed to talk he was always willing to talk to me  or just let me vent about stuff. I'm glad Nolan was able to meet his great uncle and have fun with him even though it wasn't for long. Even though I wasn't blood he treated me like I was. Thanks for always being there for Nolan and me. We already miss you. RIP Uncle Bobby. 

My condolances to the Cagles who are very great and loving god fearing people. They lost a very special son and person to many people! He was my cousin and we were also good friends! He sure could make me and other people laugh with his good humor! I knew when i was around Bobby Cagle i was in for some fun and good laughs! He was a fun loving person! Its hard for me and i know for many people to try and fathom that he is gone from us! I just hope that the Cagles can find comfort and be at peace knowing that their sons at peace. I couldn' t even imagine what it must be like to lose a child! Just hope they can find peace and comfort today and always keep focused for tommorrow will be a better day! I know with time it will become easier to deal with thier lose of a son that was truly dear to them and many people!!!

So many memories. Where do I start? I remember riding the trails on the back of his motorcycle. He even took a couple small jumps. I was terrified but remember thinking that he is really good at this! I also remember his low rider truck. The stereo in that truck was awesome. I really looked up to Frankie. You always knew that when he’s around that you were going to have a good time and laugh. Thanks for all the good times and laughs. We will see you on the side. Robbie 😁

To my family.                                               Cousin Bobby ( Frankie) was not afraid of anything.He was so  funny yup so funny.His soul will continue to be humorous, kind and willing to take on any challenge.To Aunt Sandra Uncle Bob, Cousin Christy, Rick Larrison and there c children Dainelle ,Melissa and Ryan.also  to include the entire Cook and Cagle family members .I pray for comfort to touch your heart and mind today and always. Bobby will live in our heart and memories forever.He was always wanting ro sneek in a movie when we were young that we were not suppose to watch.He would tell Grandma Mabel we were watching a cartoon ha ha.,while she was in another room checking on us verbally. He also spoke about how honored to be a Pal Barrier at Gramdma Mabel's funeral.He is a now with her forever snd this gives great comfort and peace to me.May love and good memories fill your hearts. Till I see you agian Bobby please know I love you Cuz. ❤❤
