David F. Hall, age 41, of Roanoke, TX died on July 22, 2020.

David was a dedicated and loving father, brother, son and uncle. He lived for his children and was passionate about grilling and viewing professional sports. He was always there to offer a helping hand and a generous smile to others. He was a 'prince of a man', taken from us far too early in life.

He is survived by his loving children, Ryan and Kylie Hall; his parents, Frank and Bertha Hall; his sister, Andrea and husband, Jacob McKee; his nephews, Connor and Ethan McKee and various aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held in memory of David on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 10:00 a. m. Central Time at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in David's memory to an autism charity of your choice.

Many of you may not realize that David was very philosophical. Swimming in the pool one day, he asked me as a young boy, “dad, God made us, who made God?” I told him there are some things we are not yet capable of understanding. We talked more and often. But more often than not about what defines a successful person. I told my son it mattered not how many certificates or degrees one has, although he had some; or how much wealth one had, although he never really lacked; but rather how much love is in your heart. My son’s life was amazingly successful!

I remember babysitting you when you were little. Making you cheese sandwiches and you dragging around that stinking baby blanket. You would carry that blanket around EVERYWHERE.
You were such an adorable kid with a contagious smile.

You will be greatly missed and always remembered. May the heavens welcome you with loving arms.

It was a very nice celebration of David's life today. We were honored to be a part of it and honored to be his uncle and aunt!

David was my cousin from Texas. I lived in Michigan most of my life so we didn't get to see much of each other. But that made it much more special when we did. I remember growing up and my parents would tell my brother and I that Uncle Frank, Aunt Bertha, David and Andrea were coming up for a visit. We would get so excited. We couldn't wait for them to arrive at my Grandparents house so we could go see them.

David and I are big hockey fans. I grew up in Michigan so naturally I'm a big Detroit Red Wings fan, and David living in Texas was a huge and when I say huge, i mean ridiculous huge Stars fan. So when the Stars would play the Wings we would be texting back and forth about the game. If the Stars would win he would rub it in.

I'm really going to miss you buddy!
I love you!
Give Grandma and Grandpa a hug for me!

David was my older cousin. We didn't get to see each other much because he lived far away, and there was a pretty sizable age difference between us, so I was typically too young to accompany my Dad on any trips he got to take down to Texas for occasions like my Uncle Frank's birthday party.

My Grandma and Grandpa Hall would always visit down in Texas though, and Grandma Hall would always be so excited to share pictures and stories of our older cousins, David and Andrea, when we would spend the night at their house. I know that David is in heaven now, and Grandma and Grandpa Hall are sharing stories with him about the rest of us.

We love you, and we'll miss you, David! Take care of Grandma and Grandpa up there.

I will always miss my big cousin David, he would always call me to tell me he missed me and that I needed to come see him soon no matter how much time had passed, he always reached out to me to let me know I was on his mind and that I was loved. He would always offer me his home and tell me to come and he would make me laugh when he told me I didn't even need to even sweep or vacuum because he was thinking of investing in a "Roomba" (automatic vacuum). He used to always offer me anything he had to give but his loving heart and kind words were always what will be remembered. I love you David, sleep with the angels because I know u are now with them and in a much better place. I will never forget u and I will always miss you.

David was my cousin and while we lived far away and didn’t really talk much, I always felt close to him. We were always able to pick up right where we left off and I always loved that!

I have many fond memories of David! From the Christmas you spent up here in Michigan that had no snow, to the camping trip up here for Grandma and Grandpa’s 50th that was in the high 90’s with insane humidity, you always experienced the opposite weather you came here for! No matter what though we had a great time!

By far though one of my fondest memories is from your trip to MI to visit Grandpa just before he passed. You stayed with them and I know they lived that, and you and I got to spend the day together which meant a lot to me!

You are so very missed! I know you’re up there hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa and many other family and friends who have gone home!

I love you a miss you!
