Eddie Laws

Eddie is survived by his wife Roseanna; son Bailey; daughter Cher and husband, Patrick; grandchildren Dallas & her husband, Chris; Phoenix, Paris, Rhett, and Bri. Great grandfather to Sawyer and Marlee. Eddie is the second oldest of his siblings. He is survived by his mother, Barbara, his sister Renee and husband, Russ, Gaila and husband Keith, Theresa and husband Charlie, Rhea and Norene. Eddie was loved by countless nieces and nephews.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father Raymond and his stepfather Vaughn, brother Johnny, beloved uncle and aunt Henry and Lucille, brother-in-law Ted.

Eddie grew up in Jay, Oklahoma, where he graduated from Jay High School. He spent most of his life in the Fort Worth, Texas area.

Eddie built an admirable career in the roofing industry over a 50-year career span. His sincerity, care to detail on the job, work ethic, and service of helping others were all parts of his character. If Eddie said it, it was to his best knowledge and the truth! He worked up to the last weeks of his life giving all he had for the success of the business. Unselfish to finish with 100% dedication.

Eddie’s passion, knowledge, and collection of antiquities is to be envied, and he would tell you that. He loved the opportunity to tell you about his collections of Grapette memorabilia and signs, antique radios, juke boxes, vinyl records, gas pumps, bicycles, and a story to go along with each and every item in the collection. He loved all things baseball. Eddie fashioned eye-catching Bazooka Bubble Gum t-shirts and Converse tennis shoes.

Eddie had a love for music, family, BBQ, and fish fries, floating the creek, dinner with friends, and usually did so with his world-famous stories.

Coach Eddie, not only in baseball but in life, always told stories about the scenario at hand, taught real life lessons, especially while standing around the garage or roofing jobs… and those stories were always candid and detailed, and occasionally embellished.

Eddie was a man of integrity and faith. His faith was sealed in the blood of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He liked the books of Romans, John, Proverbs, and Psalms.

Eddie was one of a kind. He was liked, loved, and remembered by everyone he met. The world is a better and more interesting place for having had Eddie Laws in it.

A visitation for Eddie will be held on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 5-7pm at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home. A funeral service will be the following day at 3pm at The Hills Church in North Richland Hills. Committal Service will take place on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 2pm at Old Eucha Cemetery in Eucha, Oklahoma.
