I was so saddened to hear about Norman. He volunteered for our organization in 1998 and has managed genealogy information for two of our counties all this time. Condolences from all the folks at TXGenWeb.

He was a classmate  had some classes with. Him was a great person .he will missed.sending prayers to the family.

I am so sorry for his passing. Norm came to my home when he first moved to the Dallas area and shared some genealogy research he did for the Jarvis Family which is my Mother in laws family. I shared what I had in the way of family research. He was so kind and so knowledgeable.  Very gifted and passionate about his work. Prayers to his family❤️🙏

I'm extremely sad to hear of Norm's passing. He was always so kind, patient, and willing to take time with people. I loved working with him and have always been happy to see his name pop up on a project. We lost an excellent economist and genuinely good person. He is already very missed. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

I’ve known Norman since high school. We sat in Mrs. Thomas’s sophomore world history class together. In class he was quiet but had a wicked wit. Always the historian, it was beautiful to see him chronicle Emma’s life on Facebook. Chinatsu, Emma and family I send deep condolences. Prayers for comfort, peace and good memories.

I am so sorry for your loss.  Norm was a very bright light and I know he will be missed by you all.  What joy and laughter he brought to all that he met.  I really enjoyed knowing him while we both worked at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. I am so sorry for your loss!  I worked with Norm on many projects at the Corps.  He was always great to work with, and he was such a kind man with a good sense of humor.  We enjoyed problem solving with him on flood risk management projects.  He was the best economist we had, and he will be greatly missed.

We will miss Norm so much. He was such a wonderful person. He helped us countless times. Aryana thought of him as almost a second father. She said he even started teasing her on all those countless car rides. He was the proudest father to Emma and extended that pride to Aryana. We will never forget his hands raised, cheering from the front row when she performed her biggest role. He touched our lives meaningfully and will never be forgotten.

Sending deepest sympathies to the Lewis family.  Norm always had the brightest smile in the audience at all of Emma's performances.  He was the kindest man to all of Emma's friends and to all the neighborhood families.   He supported our own children as well in fundraisers and the such.   We are so sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. Our hearts are extremely saddened. 

You know him as Norman, but watching him grow up, he is Dill or Dilly to us. We have so many memories of Dilly and Keith as little boys. One main memory of Dilly is he always loved to read, even as a child. We always told him he was going to be our president one day. 
We live in Georgia, so we haven’t seen Dilly in a long time, but kept up with him through family and Facebook. He was an amazing man and has a beautiful family.

My sincerest condolences. The world lost a special man. Norm was one of the first people I worked closely with, shortly after arriving at Fort Worth. So kind. So intelligent. So helpful. So proud of his family. He and I conducted work, many years ago, in Bastrop, TX. Long story short, Norm forever since called me “Wild Man.” That always made me laugh. Every time I saw him- “What’s up, Wild Man?” I won’t soon forget when Norm brought his daughter into the office, years ago. “See ya later, alligator. After while, crocodile.” I am so sorry. So very sorry. Rest in Peace, Norm.

My deepest  sympathy  to you Chinastu , Emma, and Keith. To many people  he was Norm  but to me and the Lewis cousin  he was Dilly or Dill.

 How you made such a special  effort to drop by with Emma  and spent Long vists talking  to daddy oh how he loved it. It didn't  stop there . You were there for my brother and always checking  on him and spending  time at their bedside before they passed  away.  The times you picked  me up from airport The chats over the phone. Oh those Facebook history lesson about our  family . Will miss those.  I will  miss you Dilly .

Condolences on the loss of such a  wonderful individual.
Since coming to Wichita Falls 28 years ago, I have now lost two of my closest and most treasured friends.  Because they were so closely woven, I associate the loss of Yoshi,  and now Norm, with the same heartfelt emotion. It gladdens my heart to know they may now be again united and somehow guiding the path forward to all those they have left behind.

Chinatsu and Emma, we are so sorry for this unimaginable loss.   Norm was absolutely the sweetest soul and will leave a void that cannot be filled.   I remember well my first conversation with Norm - we struck up a conversation over Wordle.   I loved seeing him at all of the Time to Shine events, workdays, JTF, etc.  He was a trooper and did not miss a thing.   I so enjoyed following his pictures and stories on facebook.  He was so proud of his family and you, Emma, were the light of his life.   I hope that you will be able to hold on to all of the precious memories of his time here. Norm always had a kind word for everyone.   He was sincere and thoughtful.  His time at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers can be best described by his selfless service to the Nation and the organization in his role as Senior Regional Economist.   He always provided leadership with wise counsel and competent analysis in everything he did.  Even more important was his dedication and pride in Chinatsu and little Emma.  In all he did for everyone, he will be missed. Godspeed Norman.

Norm always had a kind word for my daughter after every show. He was sincere and thoughtful and was such a proud dad that there was never a time we didn’t see him up there cheering Emma (and all the kids) on. He will be greatly missed.
