

Sam Crow, 71, born in Waco, Texas, passed away sooner than anyone expected, leaving behind a legacy built on service, loyalty, and a lifelong commitment to standing up for others. He is survived by his wife, Cindy Crow, stepdaughters Jennie and Sarah Culjat along with Tisha Dillon who was like a daughter to him. He is also survived by his sister, Cindy Hotopp, and her husband, James Hotopp, along with his many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Sam was proud of his military service, which shaped the man he became. Sam began a career with General Dynamics, now known as Lockheed Martin. He was proud of the work he did and the people he worked alongside. He retired in 2016 with a sense of accomplishment. To Sam, retirement meant every day was Saturday, and he embraced the chance to live life on his own terms
Sam served as a union committeeman, fighting for employees’ rights and fair treatment in the workplace. He carried that same dedication into his volunteer work as a certified ombudsman, advocating for long-term care residents in local communities. His compassion, persistence, and strong sense of justice made a lasting difference for countless families.
Those who knew Sam will remember his kindness, his presence, his commitment to doing what was right and his famous Texas storytelling. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, offering his family comfort and peace.
