Anne Johnson Bridger

Surrounded by love, our Mom passed gently away on March 22, 2026, with our Dad waiting patiently for her, for almost 49 years. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband, Harris Hart (Buzz) Bridger in 1978. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by her three children, Patti Jennens (Michael), Corry Hunter (Doug) and Scott Bridger (Susan), her grandchildren, Jason Jennens (Tara), Corry Feore (Rory), Sherri Jennens (Grant), Brad Jennens (Annelli), Lyndsay Antkowiak (Tom), Kyle Hunter (Katie), Katie Goward (Adam), Taylor Bridger (Robecca). Mom will be in the hearts of her great-grandchildren as she was a special GG to them.

Mom was indeed the matriarch of our family. Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would live to be 101 years old. She was up to date on current events reading the Daily Courier and Capital News, watching television and PVRing her favourites, playing card games on her computer and playing Word Chum on her iPad with various grandchildren and great-grandchildren. As they all know, she loved to win.

Mom has been a resident of Missionwood in Kelowna since she was 89 years old. She inherited another family living there. Words cannot express the appreciation we feel about the Missionwood staff. They went above and beyond to make her years there feel like home. Independent living at its best.

Living to be 101 is indeed a feat. I would suspect it's partially the gene pool she belonged to, her grit, her daily gin and tonic at Happy Hour, and the amazing health care professionals she had throughout her life. Our family is sincerely grateful to Mom's family physician, Dr. Paul Hart. Mom so appreciated his guidance and his friendship. She considered herself very fortunate to be his patient.

There will be no service as per Mom's request.
