Anne came from Holland with her parents and brother as a teenager. She fell in love with Canada and a particular man. When the family had to go back due to illness of her father, Anne chose to stay. Her father passed and she went back to Holland to take care of her mom and brother. After 2 years, she returned to Canada to marry her beloved Tony, and her family came back.
Anne modelled the modern feminine spirit with care for others, love of beauty, and commitment to further learning which included a career as a bookkeeper, an artist, a seamstress, a gardener, a songstress with Lively Art Singers, and an adventurer. (Whatever adventure Tony dreamed up, she helped to make it happen).
She also enjoyed tennis and snow skiing, but her big passion was swimming (right across Okanagan lake!)
As a lover of beauty, and creativity she was mistress of hearth and home. Anne combined showcasing interior design with hospitality. She was always available as a gentle carrier of wisdom, sensitive with delivery and availability for council.
In spite of many ongoing health challenges, Anne always stayed positive and compassionate.
Anne is a legacy of the feminine spirit in action. As a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, her indomitable sprit blessed her entire family: brother Andy Idema (Joann), daughters Evelyn Mulders (Pat Mulligan), Jacqueline Carnegie (Les), Son in law Stephen Kayer and Grandsons Cory Mulders (Jannessa), Tyrell Carnegie, Rylan Carnegie, great granddaughter Rozetta.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Tony Mulders and daughter Monica Kayer.
