We will raise a glass to you when we meet together again and talk about your laughter, jokes, joy, and story telling.

_We remember so much laughter when you used to visit and all the Edwards brothers and sisters would get together. Great stories and real love for an exciting life where you turned your hand to so many different things. Visiting your ranch when we were young was an amazing experience and Dorothy and you had so much love and enthusiasm to give us when we stayed. We hope you and Uncle Bill are back together exploring the great Roman Baths, eating pears and stealing sidecars again - and that grandma is waiting to shoot out a tin plate at you_...

 My heart goes out the the Broadfoot clan and extended family of Ed (as I knew him).A heart felt hug for all.I will always miss his entertaining company with interesting stories and of course his humour.
   Well,I feel privileged to have met Ed and will always will feel like family to family of Ed.

To Dorothy,  your family and Eddie's and all your wonderful friends: we send our condolences to you all after hearing of your loss. Aubrey (Eddie) was a unique man and we were privileged to have called him our friend. He was a great historian with memory of all details, Navy man, farmer, car enthusiast, smart as a whip, a miner, and the best story teller we have met. Loved his infectious, hardy laugh, his love for extended family and dogs in his life.  You shared him with us all Dorothy and we love you for that. Surround yourself with his memories, your precious kids and grandchildren and Gwenie his sister. May he rest in peace knowing he was well loved.

Strawb what will we do without hearing your infectious laughter again, or see you would double up at a joke. There are so many memories, but my first was of being a little girl going to fetch you from Liverpool through the Mersey tunnel, you had arrived back home from Canada for the first time. Our Mom and Dad so excited to have you back, I think I was only eight but had no memory of you until seeing you for the first time at the docks. As young, as I was I remember the pub we had to stop at for a pint and a pork pie, this habit never did change!
Our love and thoughts are with you Dorothy, for always being a constant, by uprooting yourself and your three young children to start a new life in a log cabin miles from anywhere with an unfinished top floor and an oven door that dropped off without the help of sticky tape!   Not to mention the disbelief when you stood up from the tractor to see the pickup with the fuel tank upended in the back curtesy of Jerry & Katie.  
Dorothy worked tirelessly alongside you at the ranch; she worked tirelessly when you got sick - I think you can rest easy now. Strawb you won life’s lottery when you chose your Dorothy, you lived life to the full, and you lived your dream Dorothy enabled you to do this and all of us are so very grateful.
I will miss you so very, very much…

One of my earliest memories is of Uncle Aubrey standing me on the kitchen table to gift me a 10 shilling note for my birthday 🎂. December 1966. 

He always sent us apples for Christmas back then but it was special to see him in person that year. RIP Uncle Aubrey x

I would like to express my sadness,  love  and empathy to the families that lost Aubrey Edwards . I did not get to know him when he was well unfortunately. I did hear many heartwarming and humorous stories of the move to the cariboo to begin ranch life! 
As a new family friend, I saw the love and devotion  from Dorothy, his beautiful wife, his daughter Susan, his son  Dan, his sister Gwen and all the grandchildren. I feel he will be greatly missed..at peace now 🙏


My condolences and love to Aubrey's family, both near and afar. He led a full life from the Blitz and the Battle of Britain as a child to a frontier farmer in BC, and a part time prospectors. It was an honour and privilege to accompany him a year ago on his last adventure traveling to Whitehorse in the Yukon in the RV.  Loved making him laugh with jokes, ribbing, and finding a song to sing to him for every occasion.  He was a father and grandfather to the Broadfoot clan and a love to Dorothy. While he will leave a hole in many lives he also leaves wonderful cherished memories. RIP buddy.
