It is with profound grief and heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of Curtis Theodore Westerwoudt on December 5, 2025. Curtis was born on January 18, 1971, in Kelowna, British Columba. He is survived by his mother, Carol Allenbach, aunts May (Rick) Tarnowsky, Haidee Sandana and numerous cousins. Predeceased by his sister, Kimberly, father, Fred Westerwoudt and both sets of grandparents.
Curtis lived his entire life in Kelowna. Over the years he worked in the trades as a heavy equipment operator and most recently volunteered and worked at Habitat for Humanity.
Curtis loved animals, especially cats, and all things outdoors … camping, fishing, mountain biking and especially his vegetable garden. He also enjoyed baking … cookies, cakes and the annual Christmas tradition of making turtles with his mother to share with everyone.
Curtis had a life rife with loss and grief, having lost his father and sister in his youth and other close relatives over the years, but through it all he had a big, generous and caring heart – often to his detriment.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
He will be forever missed by his Mom, family and friends.
“I loved you your whole life … I will miss you the rest of mine.”
