Darryl Allan Kam

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darryl Allan Kam, who left us unexpectedly on February 1st, 2025. Darryl was a beloved partner to Sonia Nicholson for nearly 30 years, and a loving father to their two children, Taylor and Logan Nicholson. Though Darryl and Sonia were estranged, their connection remained strong, and his love and support for his family never wavered.

Born to Renata Kam (mother) and David Kam (father), and stepmother Donna-Lea Reinhart. Darryl was a devoted brother to Steven Kam and the late Michael Kam. He will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends for his sense of humor, and the unwavering support he gave to those he loved.

Darryl was a man of many passions. He often could be found working in his garden, listening to SLAYER on volume 11, and his younger days working on a Chevy Nova. His infectious laughter and generous spirit left a lasting impact on everyone around him. Above all, his love for his children was immense, and his role as a father brought him his greatest pride.

In recent years, Darryl faced the challenges of mental health, which he bravely endured. His struggle serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and understanding. Despite the difficulties he faced, Darryl’s family remained by his side, and he is remembered for his resilience, humor, and love.

Though his time with us was far too short, his legacy lives on through his children, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Darryl will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to shine in the hearts of those he touched.
