Debra Charlene Tessier

Our loving Mother Debra (Debbie) Charlene Tessier passed away suddenly in an accident on September 29th, 2023 in Kelowna B.C. She is survived by her two children Terry and Adam Shilton,Daughter-in-law Kelly and her two grandchildren Brody and Annabelle, whom she loved dearly. She cherished her daily chats and games with her sister Donna and the love and support she received from her and her other surviving sister Susan.

She was an avid people person who was well liked by everyone she met and was always smiling and laughing; so much so that she often laughed herself to tears when with loved ones. She was a kind soul who always saw the best in people and was always looking to help in any way she could. She loved music, dancing, dogs, angels, shopping, decorating, occasional trips to the casino, clowns and winding down with a glass of white wine.

She was a remarkably strong woman who courageously battled and defeated Cancer many times over the years and always maintained a positive attitude throughout and bounced back from whatever obstacle was thrown her way. She always managed to look forward to what the future may hold and see the best of any situation.

Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who were all very important to her.

Kind and generous with a welcoming hug, she always made us all feel loved and we will miss her tremendously. This is a terrible loss to all who knew and loved her and she will remain in our hearts forever.

The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you shall never pass away for a mother's hug lasts long after she has let go.

As per her wishes and in lieu of a funeral service a burial (or) celebration of life will be announced at a later date in Ottawa, Ontario.
