Born in Thunder Bay ON October 3, 1952, Doug passed away after a brief, tough fight with cancer. Predeceased by parents Pat and Edward and close friend Mike, Doug is lovingly remembered by wife Gloria, daughter Nadine (Geoff) and son Steve (Robyn), grandchildren Mackynze, Evan, Mason and Tyler, siblings Jack and Carol, in-laws Louise (Alec), Ron, Gord (Jan), Stan, BR, close friends Glenn (Erin), Ron (Judy), Don (Karen), Jim (Peggy), Graham (Joanna), Peter (Peggy) and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be painfully missed by Moka.
Doug met Gloria in Vancouver at Canada Packers in 1975; they lived in Edmonton, Mississauga, Moose Jaw and Warman, retiring in Kelowna. A business man all his life, Doug enjoyed annual family vacations, whether it be camping or driving through the States. Once the kids got older, Doug and Gloria enjoyed annual vacations together. Doug loved his family fiercely and always put them first.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and Kelowna Hospice House.
