We can all add our share of love without leaving the room. (Helen Nearing)
Gary was born in Edmonton, AB on September 25, 1942 and died peacefully at Lake Country Lodge in Winfield, BC on Monday, November 14, 2022 with family at his side. He was 80.
Predeceased by his parents Albert and Lynn Klingspon, and sister Brenda Wendy.
Lovingly remembered by daughters Micheal Vonn (Troy Scog) and Shauna Klingspon; by brother Roger Klingspon, sisters Delores Klingspon, Marilyn Klingspon and Eileen Linfield (Gord); nephew Aerik, niece Sarah Deichen(Ian), and grandsons Michael and Dominic.
Gary worked hard in construction for many years. His efforts afforded homes at different stages of life both in Edmonton and Kelowna. Gary had relationships within supportive “Fellowship” that had a positive influence on quality of life in both locations. Labelled as a real character, he was smart, had a wicked sense of humour, and loved the lights of the city. He was also kind, generous, and gentle-hearted. His loyalty as a friend knew no bounds.
In the 25 years that Gary was in extended care, he was known to be easy to care for, appreciative, and non-demanding. Special thanks to Dr. Penny and all the wonderful caregivers, especially the staff at Lake Country Lodge for the past 15 years.
It is hard to imagine not having this sensitive, quick-witted person in our lives because each of our journeys was enhanced with Gary in it. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. We will hold Gary in our hearts forever.
