George worked in Kelowna’s orchards for many years, and truly enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid gardener, fisherman and hunter who loved to cook. On the constant lookout for a great deal, George’s second home was at the area flea market.
George will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jane; children, Tom, Lily (Ron), Dave (Michelle), Doug, and Susan; grandchildren Blake and Jessie; and many other extended family members. He had many, many friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
A service for the comfort of George’s family and friends will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at The Falkland and District Community Church, Chase-Falkland Road, Falkland, BC; Keith Will officiating.
Memorial donations in George’s name to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1589 Sutherland Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5Y7 would be appreciated.
