Gerald "Gerry" Gaskell

Gerry was born on April 1, 1960 in Alert Bay, BC where he attended school, as a young man he began what turned out to be his career as a Certified West Coast Faller and Heli-Faller. Throughout his career he also became an expert in dangerous tree removal where he worked for the BC Wildfire Services as a Wild Land Firefighter right up until his untimely passing.

His hobbies included fishing, riding horses and his annual trip to Cabo San Lucas with the love of his life Christine. Some of his happiest times were spending time with family and friends boating on the local lakes and visiting around the campfire.

Gerry was predeceased by his father Richard Gaskell, brother Ricky and father-in-law, Allan Fisher

He is survived by his wife Christine and their fur baby Kahlua, mother Jane Gaskell (Darrell), brothers Fred and family, Daryl his daughter Stephanie and family, Lyle (Brandie) and family, stepchildren Amy Kruger, Marie Penner (Ben) and Derek Penner, mother-in-law Elaine Fisher, brothers-in-law Leon (Michelle), Marvin (Judy) and Daniel (Sonia) and family.

The celebration of life will be held at Valleyview Funeral Home (165 Valleyview Road, Kelowna BC) on September 6, 2025 at 1:00pm with a reception to follow.
