

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy. He is also deeply remembered by his stepchildren, Scott (Jo-Ann), Spring (Dan), Jennifer, ten grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Survived by his sons, Mark (Tracey) and Scott (Linda); and his three grandchildren, Heather, Graham, and Samantha. Ross was predeceased by his daughter Paula and his wife Anne.
Ross began his working life at sea as a Merchant Marine Engineer, spending ten years sailing across the world. Later, he became Chief Engineer at Burnaby General Hospital for 10 years.
A committed educator and professional, Ross worked as a Power Engineer Instructor at BCIT for 12 years. While at BCIT he became valedictorian.
He then served proudly as an Auxiliary RCMP Officer for 30 years.
In retirement, he volunteered with Interior Health for 20 years, helping start a community meal program and driving cancer patients to their appointments.
In his 70s, Ross embraced competitive swimming as a member of the Okanagan Masters Swim Club, earning numerous medals. At age 85, he swam across Okanagan Lake.
Throughout his lifetime of service, Ross made many friends and will be remembered with deep love and gratitude.
