Gudrun Julianna Jonasson

On October 10,2019 at the age of 96 Julie (Gudrun) passed away peacefully at Kelowna Hospice House with family by her side.

She was predeceased in 2003 by Baldwin her loving husband of 61 years; her parents Gunnar and Malla Einarson; brothers Ronald, Jon, and Einar; sisters Gudny and Margaret.

She is survived by her four children Carolyn (Elroy), Marno (Cher), Lynnette (Wayne), Ross Billie-Jo; her grandchildren Dawn (Dirk), Dean (Susie), Tanner (Kim), Chase (Laura), Chelsea (Zac), Damon (Abby), Rebecca (Colin), Hunter ( Sheila); great grand-children; Emma, Megan, Amber, Robert (Aleesha), Ashley, Jack, Lexi, Sloane, Maisie, Carter, Lilja, Avery, Jordan, Caitlin and Forest.

She is also survived by sisters Steina, Thorunn, Sylvia and Alda; brothers Freeman and Barney.

In 1974 Julie and Baldwin left their home in Gimli, Manitoba and lived in Rutland until moving to Westbank in 1995. In 2014 she was the first resident of the Heritage Senior Residence.

She loved her family and as Mom and Amma always lovingly gave but never took. She will always be remembered by family and friends for her kindness, gentleness, and positive attitude; qualities that were evidenced in her life and until her passing.
