Gwendolyn Jean Charlotte Dewhurst

Born in Armstrong, B.C. to Arvid and Florence Johnson Mom grew up with her older brother Laurie. After graduating from Armstrong High School she made the move to Kelowna to attend Business College and start working in a lawyers office. It was in Kelowna she met Allen and they were married in 1952. After purchasing their dream lakefront property in Westbank they built their house, raised a family and made a beautiful life together. Mom was blessed to have been able to live there for over 65 years until dementia forced a move into a care home.

Mom was a very active member of the Westbank United Church and the Westbank Lions/Lioness Club serving for many years. She enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, knitting, gardening, and crossword puzzles in her spare time and she made the best chocolate chip cookies!

Predeceased by her husband Allen (2008), brother Laurie and numerous other close family members.

Survived by her children Randy (Sandy) Dewhurst, Brenda Dewhurst and Gary Dewhurst. Grandchildren Evan Dewhurst, Paige Dewhurst, Kallie Pierron, Cole Pierron, Jennifer Buechert, Jordan Eggleston, Kyle Dewhurst and Great Grandchildren Levi Clark Pierron and Kara and Anson Buechert.

Rest in peace Mom. We love you and we will miss you.
