Before the sun rises she leaves this life behind quickly and quietly. Even though her health was declining her passing was sudden and unexpected. She leaves behind her children Wayne (Sandi), Debbie (Cary), Cindy, Bart (Terri). She had 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Her brother Gordon (Sharon) (Jean) and late husband’s brother Leo (Lorraine)
Irene and Ray built a house on Blizzard Mountain. It is in a beautifully forested area looking down the valley over the river. They lived off the grid before off the grid was a thing. She welcomed friends and family into her home without hesitation. She never minded people just dropping in. Actually she enjoyed the company. She would have parties and celebrations anytime of the year. She would find sleeping spaces for anyone wanting to stay. She often spoke fondly of these memories and her lifelong friends.
She was a master at keeping herself busy and entertained. She enjoyed her coffee beside the wood burning stove on the glassed in porch. She played many card games, she was an excellent scrabble player, as well as word puzzles and jig saw puzzles. She put a lot of love and took pride in crafting plastic canvas creations. They were so beautifully and perfectly done and she freely gave them away to family and friends.
We were so fortunate and blessed to have our mother to this point in our lives. Her mind was sharp, quick and alert. Her spirit was willing and strong. Physically her body could do no more. She has gone now. She is with the loved ones she dearly missed. Raymond (husband) Tyler (grandson) Keith and Dale (brothers) in-laws and many friends
In our hearts, in our memories, she will be remembered and lovingly missed.
We are planning to have a Celebration of Life at a later date
