James Walker Singleton

James Singleton passed away surrounded by family on June 11, 2024 at the age of 75. He is survived by his children Mike, Corey, Dave and Jaimie; grandchildren- Sam, Adriana, Madyson, Olivia, Pyper, Torin and Hayes; Siblings Pat Warnock, Brian Singleton, Margret Mann; Lesley Swanson; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Edna and Frank Singleton.

James was a passionately active guy, involved in sports throughout school and continued into his adult life playing, coaching and refereeing hockey. He also worked for the NHL in various positions during Canucks home games and playoffs. James still had a verve for life and sports albeit unable to partake, he was very well read in the stats of teams and players in the professional sports world.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kelowna General Hospital for taking such good care of James in these last two months, everyone was helpful and hopeful. A special mention to all the friends and staff of Lakeshore Place, James truly enjoyed everything about living there and the people. He joked of how he should have made the move sooner.
