

She is survived by her brothers Stan Rusch, Alan (Deb) Rusch, niece Leane and nephew Kevin (June). Also stepdaughter Deb Bowman (Jacquie),step granddaughters Kiera, Jillian and their father Shaun Bowman. Margaret leaves behind many close friends and acquaintances, too many to list.
Margaret started her career at a young age with Okanagan Telephone, which became B. C. Telephone and finally Telus. She worked in many departments, retiring in 1999.
She had met Frank Shannon and they travelled to many places, as they loved camping and fishing. Other destinations she travelled with friends was to the Yukon, Oregon Coast, England, and many within B. C. and Alberta. Frank sadly predeceased her in 2006. After retirement she also volunteered with many groups; Telus Ambassadors, Kalano Club, Salvation Army kitchen and food truck. She enjoyed working the fire lines, feeding the firemen. Lastly, at the Salvation Army Church planning and cooking meals for seniors on Wednesdays.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Diabetic or Kidney Foundations or a charity of your choice.

A Celebration of Life for Margaret, will be held on Thursday, APril 17th, 2025 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 1211 Sutherland Ave, Kelowna.
