Marj is survived by her son Lyle, Sister in law, Yvonne (Muzyka) and many adoring Nieces, nephews and Grands. Growing up in a large Mackintosh household with five siblings kept her busy. Marjorie attended high school until June 1942 in Ethelton, Saskatchewan. She married Earl Ede from Melfort, Saskatchewan moving several times throughout BC and then eventually set up home in Kelowna in the early 1950's.
Marj and Earl paved the way for many extended family members moving to Kelowna, always with welcome arms, pontoon boat rides and generous hospitality. They loved their small fishing getaways – even though Marj never swam so we couldn’t get her into the lake with us.
Her caregivers at Brookhaven (the last three years) said they would miss her dearly – she was always positive and appreciative – the kind of resident they all loved to have.
God saw you getting tired, and a cure was not to be: So he put his arms around you and whispered, “COME WITH ME” With Tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you slip away, although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us – He only takes the Best!
