Matt was born in Clanwilliam, Manitoba n Aug. 18, 1932. Leaving home at the age of 13, Matt made his way to the Vancouver area. He tried his hand at tall kinds of work and eventually became a successful millwright. When he met and married Yvonne, they settled and raised their family in Burnaby. They moved to Kelowna in 1996, and enjoyed being close to much of the family.
Matt was a true family man who treasured time spent with all. He enjoyed so many good times with his wife and children, grandchildren, many close siblings and their families, large extended family and friends. He loved the outdoors, camping, hunting, big get-togethers, bar-b-ques, and a good meal!
He enjoyed many adventures travelling by truck and camper, then motor home, and then his “Dream Come True” converted Bus! His travels took ham all over, from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland, Alaska to Florida and many, many places in between.
Matt lived a full life and touched many people. He will be missed and remembered by them all.
