Matthew Robert Edwin Mason

Born in Sparwood, BC, to David and Kathleen Mason, he grew up alongside his sister, Stacey, and brother, Paul. The family later moved to Trail, BC, where Matt spent most of his childhood on the ballfield, hockey and golf course. There, he formed lifelong friendships and memories that shaped the person he became.

Matthew was a happy, outgoing, and larger-than-life presence. He had an infectious smile, a generous heart, and an unmistakable energy that drew people to him. He lived fully, laughed loudly, and made lasting impressions wherever he went. Matthew had a natural ability to connect with others, making friends easily and treating everyone like family.

A passionate athlete, Matthew found great joy on the baseball diamond, hockey rink, and golf course. Over the years, he earned numerous awards and accolades—achievements that reflected not only his talent but also his dedication, sportsmanship, and love for the game.

Above all else, Matthew was a loving father to his three daughters: Maia, Macy, and Makayla. They were the center of his world, and he was endlessly proud of them. His love and guidance will live on through each of them.

Matthew will be remembered for his big personality, kind spirit, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He leaves behind countless memories, stories filled with laughter, and a legacy of love that will never fade.

He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
