Mina Faye Scherer, 51, of Kelowna, BC passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2017. She was born on April 15th 1965 in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. She is survived by her mother Betty Scherer, her brother Ben Scherer, sister-n-law Joy Scherer, nephew Slade Scherer, niece Mackenzie Scherer, dear friend Peter aunt Marilyn and cousins Paul, Tammy and Ben. Mina was predeceased by her father Ben Sr. Mina attended South Rutland Elementary, Rutland Middle and Rutland Senior Secondary. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor’s of Science majoring in geography. Mina enjoyed backing and chocolate making in her spare time and often donating the goodies to the less fortunate. Mina had a special place in her heart fro animals, especially her cat Cuddles, Fred and Barney. As such in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA. Her wonderful spirit will be celebrated on April 22, 2017 at Sun Pointe Village, 700 Rutland Road, Kelowna BC, commencing at 11:00 am.
