

Nick was born in Fort William, Ontario, on February 22nd, 1926. At the age of 17, Nick proudly joined R.W.R. Royal Winnipeg Rifles on August 24th, 1944. He served in Canada, England and Holland. The army demobilized, and he was discharged on October 1946. He then moved to Atikokan, Ontario, in 1950 with his wife Joyce and had 5 wonderful children. He worked at Steep Rock Iron mines until it closed in 1980.He then made his way to Kelowna B.C., where he lived the remainder of his life. He was a proud WW11 Veteran, Legionnaire, and enjoyed his happy hour. Nick leaves behind his brother George (Joan), his 5 children, sons: Brian (Sandy), Derrick (Liz), Darrin (Sue), Guy (Rose), and daughter Debbie. Also, 10 grandchildren, Clifford, Kaisa, Liisa, Charlie, Kevin, Eddy, Nicholas, Kyler, Cherie-Lynn, Jeffrey, and also 6 great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held at a later date in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
