Born January 2, 1956 in Fort Frances, ON, passed away on March 28, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Kelly, his son Kevan and his daughter Kira all of Kelowna, Also his mother Evelyn Webb of Thunder Bay, ON; siblings Joe (Barb) Hickerson of Thunder Bay, ON., Noella Strain of Keewatin, ON., Jack (Sue) Hickerson of Stoney Creek, ON., Raymond (Ali) Hickerson of Thunder Bay, ON., Valerie (Wendall) Whitter of Prince Albert, Sask.
Pat received his diploma as a Civil Engineer Technologist from the Okanagan College in Kelowna and prior to his battle with cancer was the public works manager for the City of Armstrong.
Pat was a very caring and dedicated family man that will be sadly missed by all. He was the most positive person that always had a joke to share or a song to sing given the chance in Karaoke.
Pat had a true passion for cars and found his contentment in playing in his garage. He has built two of his own cars and took great pride in his 1949 2 door Chevy Sedan and his 1928 Model A. He has been a member of the Cam Jammers Car Club as well as the Kelowna Custom Car Club for many years. He was certainly an Icon in the “Hot Rod” community and if there is a “Hot Rod Heaven”, Pat will certainly be there.
A Celebration of life will be held at 3544 Elliott Road, West Kelowna on May 30, 2015 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. for family and friends. A private gathering will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Hospice House. Arrangements entrusted to Valleyview Funeral Home, 250-765-3147.
