Our sincere condolences to Kjell's family. We met some years ago when Kjell helped his friend Bruce Mcewan during the last days of his life. We remained friends and in contact periodically ever since, in visits when he passed through Saskatoon and the numerous phone calls to wish us well and to see how we were doing. He was such a good guy all around, we will miss you. Godspeed Kjell.

I worked with Kjell in both Regina and Winnipeg and I remember him as friendly, kind person. Kjell was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. We loved to listen to him tell stories about his experiences as a controller and later as a flag man for Mulder. He had some good ones. My condolences to Kjell's family. He will be missed by all who knew him.

I worked with Kjell in Regina. I don't think I ever saw him without a smile on his face and something cheerful to say. A great guy!

KP and I started working at the old WG ACC within weeks of each other back in 1956. Life was good in those days with the magnificent annual salary of $2400 and change.  It did not stop us from having some fun times. Both of us went Course #5 the following year. After a few months at different towers, we both wound up in XE. KP was  best man at my wedding and I was present for his a bit later. We  followed different paths after that, but never lost touch. He was a good friend. RIP Kjell.

I worked with Kjell in Winnipeg air traffic control from 1976 to when he retired. Kjell was a good man, fun to be with, and always with laugh and a twinkle in his eye. He was also a good citizen of Canada. Godspeed Kjell.

Dear Sonja and Family,
I am sad to hear of Kjell's passing.  He began every lunch and every coffee I ever had with "I am very blessed..." and he truly meant it.  We were both from Winnipeg and enjoyed chatting about memories there.  I knew exactly where he and Hazel lived.  To hear about all his adventures was a true gift to me.  He missed Hazel deeply and I hope they are both up there enjoying one another again.  I may be out of town on April 27th, and I am so sad to miss saying good bye.  I truly hope he knows how much he changed and enriched people's lives.

My sincere sympathy to Kjell's family
I have know Kjell since I was a teenager growing up in Rose Valley Sask. We spent a lot of fun times together in Wepg when I was in nurses training there. Kjell had a car and it was always loaded with my nursing  friends a practice which continued  after I graduated and left the city. He was a great friend and his caring was genuine. Once you were his friend it was for life. This April will be the first time for years I will not get a call on my birthday and I will miss it and his "trivia". RIP dear friend. Our sympathy to all of Kjell’s family.  Although we weren’t related, Kjell seemed like an uncle to both Dianne and I.  He had many stories about both of our families and how we were all somehow intertwined.  His incredible memory created many memorable stories that he could relate to us.  Rest in Peace “Uncle” Kjell.
