How in the world did I miss this?  Peter helped a poor kid from the other side of the tracks succeed.  I was an English major because of him.  Eric...we must grab a coffee, ...soon....

Gwenyth, we are saddened to read of Peter's passing. He was admired by very many people.  Our lives in Winfield began in your home while Peter and you went to Australia in '89. What a pleasure that was.

Our thoughts are with all of you at this time.
We always remember the good times we had as neighbours, friends and of course "Mr. Greer" was the teacher and Principal whose bark was worse than his bite.  Peter made us tow the line in school and never hesitated to report out to the parents when we were not performing to his expectations of us.
His memory will live on in those who had the pleasure of knowing and learning from him.

Eric, Diane & family. I was so sorry to read about the passing of Eric's dad. Although he lived a full life, it is never easy to say good-bye. Our thoughts and our prayers are with you and your family.

Please accept my deepest condolences for Peter's passing.  I have wonderful memories of him as my principal at GESS and as a good friend to my parents. I seem to recall that my sister Frankie referred to him as "Thumper", but I was only allowed to call him "Mr. Greer". 

On the night of my grad, Peter and my dad tied one on at a party at the Greer house on Seaton ... I think they were just expressing their glee that I had actually made it!  That successful milestone was due in large part to Peter's guidance and firm tutelage and for which I am eternally grateful. 

To Gwen, Eric and Kathy - while it's been too many years since I've seen any of you, please know that I'm thinking of you all with great regard and affection.

Gwen and family...I am very sorry to hear of your loss. There is much to be treasured in Peter's life well lived. May those memories bring you comfort and peace.

I was so very sad to hear we'd lost Peter.  He was an amazing man - he made English Literature come alive for me in Grade 12, he made me laugh when he growled at students only to smile after passing them, he always supported and encouraged me.  He was a great friend and I was blessed to have him in my life. I will never forget him.  My love and sympathy to you all,
