

Reuben will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 69 years, Linda; his children, Rick (Wendy) and Darcy (Shannon); his grandchildren Dale (Candice) Wahler, Ashley (Sean) Deegan, Michael (Kelsey) Wahler, Brittney (Spencer) Hinch, and Twyla (Branden) Redschlag; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Talen, Corbin, Mason, Tenley, Bauer, Hadden, Milo, Pierson, Lennyn, Scottie and River.
Reuben was predeceased by his parents, Simon and Lydia Wahler. As well as 7 of his 8 siblings.
Together, Reuben & Linda enjoyed spending their summers camping at Beaver Lake with friends. Many of his days were spent out on the lake fishing in his memorable yellow boat the "SS Nanaimo" which were often accompanied by his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever. They also enjoyed travelling to Bucerías, Mexico.
Reuben was passionate about fastball and slo-pitch and spent many years as an umpire at High Noon Ball Park. He rarely missed a chance to attend his son and grandchildren’s games, cheering them on with pride.
Reuben was known for his warm and welcoming spirit. Reuben & Linda spent several years greeting at Trinity Church, where their friendly smiles made others feel welcome. They also took great pride in serving as Airport Ambassadors at the Kelowna Airport, offering kindness and assistance to travellers.
Reuben lived a long and full life and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
At Reubens request, no funeral service will be held. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
